Hey don’t let Refurbished scare you off. Just because something is not "New" doesn't mean it won't work. Many people buy second hand equipment and it works great for them. We decided to put together this package for those people who want to start selling books but have tight budgetary constrains. Place an order and we will build a scanner system for you from factory-refurbished components.
We need to mention a quick note on Socket 7E2 scanners. These scanners used to come with a CMOS scan engine that performed really poorly. We think Socket got tired of accepting 7E returns from frustrated customers so they retired 7E and came out with a Socket 7E2, laser version. Socket 7E2 has a scan engine that is equivalent to a old style 7M scanner with a class 1 laser. We played around with 7E2 and it worked great.
The only other major difference between 7E2 and 7M2 or 7P version 2 is that 7E2 comes with a USB charging cord for the scanner instead of AC power block (Socket did this probably to cut costs). So what does it mean for you? Instead of plugging the scanner into the AC outlet you will plug the scanner into USB port of your PC. The 7E2 we sell in this package is brand new.
We will configure and test the unit before we send it out. Everything will be ready to go out of the box. The system will have a 90-day replacement warranty.
