Connecting your PDA to the Internet

You have two options for connecting your PDA to the internet: via the cradle or WiFi. Connecting via the cradle is the easiest. Simply dock the PDA and you should have access. In rare instances, depending on the computer's internet settings, you may need to change the way Active Sync connects to the internet.

How to connect your PDA to your wireless internet connection.

• On the main desktop screen click the small antenna icon marked (Figure 1).
• If the WiFi button is gray with a small red “x” tap it. (Figure 2).
• The WiFi button will turn orange color initially indicating that the PDA is not connected.
• Tap the settings button to view available networks. (Figure 3).
• Tap and hold any available network (Figure 4) until a “Connect ” menu appears (Figure 5).
• Tap the “Connect” menu and the PDA should connect. Click “Ok”. On the next screen the WiFi button marked (Figure 2) should become green.

Troubleshooting

Having problems with your internet connection on your PDA? Here are a few suggestions to get it running.

• A good practice with any problem on your PDA, is to first try a soft-reset. Please refer to PDA documentation as each PDA is different.
• Verify that the connection isn't working, by opening Internet Explorer and navigating to www.Neatoscan.com. After performing each of the following tasks, come back to Internet Explorer each time to see if the connection is working.
• Some access points require you to accept an agreement before use. Be sure to review and accept any such agreement before accessing internet related functions on Neatopricer.
• Some access points have security enabled. Make sure you have entered the passwords correctly and/or have added your MAC address to your routers accepted connections list. See router documentation for more detailed information.
• Some internet providers require you to browse the internet through a proxy server. Make sure you have set the appropriate proxy settings on the the PDA.
